No previous knowledge is required for this course.

In terms of materials, Paula tells you which materials are essential and which are optional during the course. You can start off with glazes suitable for kiln firing, transfer decals, insulator tape, sponges, powdered glazes, oxide, paintbrushes, and finally, wax, pencils, and ceramic crayons. You also need a ceramic tile and either a homemade or shop-bought ceramic item, as well as access to a kiln.
