Learn to combine traditional and modern inking techniques to create contemporary botanical drawings, exploring the principles of balance and composition

Contemporary yet classic, intricate yet minimalist, realistic yet abstract—these contrasts make for bold works of art. Artist Fujiko Rose skillfully integrates this dynamic to create modern but timeless black-and-white ink drawings, finding her niche at the intersection of fine art and design. Her intricate and edgy compositions have been featured in fairs all over London, and she received the Landscape Artist of the Year Award in 2019, which skyrocketed her career to success.

In this online course, explore the versatility of ink to create modern botanical drawings. Experiment with balance and composition, merging detailed depictions of your subject with abstract graphical elements for a fresh twist on an age-old technique. Blend precision and flexibility to craft elegant monochromatic pieces with character.
