Antonio Barahona studied fine arts before earning a degree in painting from the University of Seville, Spain. He was given a grant to study at the Antonio Gala Foundation, where he created the project Costumbrismo andaluz. Through many years of research and dedication to his art, he became an expert at depicting plants with oil paint, specializing in the interplay between vegetation and light as well the color green and all its complexities.

His paintings have won numerous awards and have been displayed in group exhibitions, international contemporary art fairs like KunstRAI Art Fair (2021), put on by GalerieMokum, and solo exhibitions including Sobre verdes y otras verdades, held at the El Quatre venue in Barcelona (2016). He has also collaborated with prestigious brands like Winsor & Newton.
