Learn how to measure and make a pair of trousers, from the initial block pattern to the finished garment, and showcase your own style
Monisola Omotoso believes clothing shouldn’t be dull – that if a garment can evolve into something that’s the same but somehow different, the wearer won’t get bored of it. As a designer and pattern maker, she has created clothing for the likes of David Bowie and developed patterns for Alexander McQueen. She also develops pattern-making kits to help others make clothing of their own.
In this course, Monisola teaches you how to take measurements and design a basic trouser block pattern from scratch. Make a pair of classic trousers using a fabric of your choice and learn how to adapt it to create different styles and looks. Clothing is a great canvas for showcasing your creativity. Stand out with your own style.

A course by Monisola Omotoso
Monisola Omotoso is a designer and pattern cutter based in central London. She comes from a family of South American tailors and followed in their footsteps, making her first wearable pattern at just eight years old. She later studied art and design at Middlesex University where she discovered a love of pattern cutting. While studying, she won several competitions and during her final year, she designed her first commercial product, which was sold at retailers like Paul Smith.
After graduating, Monisola started her own namesake brand which she ran for 10 years, distributing her ranges across the world. She has designed stage outfits for musicians including David Bowie and U2 and her work has been featured in leading UK publications such as The Face, i-D, Fashion Weekly, and The Observer. Monisola also worked as a draper for Alexander McQueen. Now she helps others create clothing through 1:1 tuition, pattern-cutting kits, and sewing patterns.

This a very useful course, well explained, not super easy.
In my opinion it can be explained better, most of all the reason why some steps are important.
Questo è un corso molto utile, spiegato bene, non facilissimo.
Per quanto mi riguarda preferirei maggiori spiegazioni sul perchè alcuni passaggi sono importanti.
