Design, like language, is a form of communication, and the materials involved are the words we choose to convey meaning. While many stick to the tried-and-true, artist and product designer Matteo Pellegrino explores the unconventional, using polyurethane foam to shape his ideas into functional objects and original products. What he loves most is its unpredictable nature, as it adds a touch of spontaneity to every new project. In this online course, learn how to make a coffee table using two-part polyurethane foam alongside Matteo,
who has collaborated with design experts such as Gaetano Pesce and Alessandro Mendini, as well as with brands like Gufram and Corsi Design Factory. He teaches you how to create decor with expanding foam step by step, from the initial concept to demolding your finished piece. Experiment with a new material and bring colorful, charismatic designs to life.
