Learn how to handcraft a monogram from a pencil sketch and apply it to a ready-to-print business card
One of the most fascinating compositions found in the field of lettering and typography is the monogram, a design made by combining two or more letters. Don't let their simplicity fool you; it is precisely this limited use of characters that has sparked creativity throughout the ages, resulting in a wide variety of clever and innovative designs.
In this course, learn how to handcraft a monogram of your initials, or other letters of your choice, alongside James Clough, calligraphy and typography expert and founder of the Associazione Calligrafica Italiana (Italian Calligraphy Association). James currently teaches at the NABA University in Milan and throughout the years has created logos, ads, and monograms for numerous clients in both Italy and around the world. Under his expert guidance, design a personal monogram from a sketch and apply it to a business card. Get ready to play with letters and create a character-rich composition.
