You’ll need basic Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills.
As for materials, you’ll need black ink, acrylic paint, a range of brushes and items to create textures with, tracing paper, drawing paper, a sketchbook, pencils, and pens. For the digital side, you’ll need a computer, a scanner, and the aforementioned software.

I really like this course and would have loved to have followed along but unfortunately my Illustrator version is older and I couldn't manage to do the same things Melanie do. I do love Melanies style and she is a good teacher. I hope she can answer my questions and help out. Many teachers stop responding to questions when a course are a few years old which is a pity and a shame.
