Denisse Myrick

Hey, there!

My name is Denisse Myrick and I'm an Arizona-based Fashion and Portrait photographer. I've been a photographer for a little over 13 years now. Most of my career has been focused on Street Style, which I love, but I have also had the chance to dive into portraiture, fine arts, weddings, and editorial fashion.

I was lucky enough to launch my career in one of the most inspirational cities for fashion and style, New York City. There explored the streets of SoHo, Nolita, and Brooklyn, just to name a few, where you'll find some of the most interesting and inspiring outfits. I really got into Street Style when I started working with Fashion Bloggers. Through these projects, I was able to build a direct relationship with the brands we were shooting for which has opened up many doors for me. Because of how popular style blogging has become, my work has also been featured in many publications. Some of them are LATINA Magazine, InStyle, People Style, Elle, and Essence. I've also done red carpet which is one of the highlights of my career.

I'm partially self-taught. I say partially because there are a few people who at the beginning of my career, were kind enough to let me shadow them, practice, and ask a plethora of questions. That experience along with the experiences I have had in the last 13 years has really catapulted me to where I am today. All of this experience also landed me the 2019 Hispanicize Award for "Best Photography Content Creator." Something I felt very honored to receive.

Presently, I live with my family in Phoenix, Arizona. Being on the West Coast has allowed me more opportunities in Los Angeles where I often travel, and for recurring or new work back East, I travel as well. The last two years have allowed me to pivot to teaching. So I have been offering virtual mentorships, and that has been so fun. So much so that I'm really excited to bring this global mentorship if you will, to this platform.

It isn't lost on me how valuable your time is. And so I really appreciate you taking the time to learn from me. I hope that you are able to confidently slay all of your Street Style projects, and I hope that you're able to apply what you've learned here to all of your favorite styles of photography.
