Thomas Rohlfs

I'm a self-taught Dutch illustrator with a keen eye for detail and a clean minimal style. I love illustrating because I lose all sense of time when I'm drawing. I can get lost in creating smooth and clean lines or getting a character or pose just right.

In my personal projects I try to tell small (and often melancholic) stories about adventure, youth, love, and heartbreak. They can get quite dark. The narratives usually aren't well defined, but I hope the viewer can still sense them.

I'm also proud to have collaborated with brands and studios like AKQA, Wired, Ueno, New Scientist, and Mathematic. On the side I run a small print shop from my studio in Amsterdam, lovingly creating beautiful giclée fine art prints.
