Susan Grundy

I fell in love with pottery when I first encountered it at school. Its maleability and potential captured my imagination then, and I have been in love with it ever since. After retiring as a primary school teacher I began working with copper foil stained glass as well as my pottery. I have experimented with combining the two mediums with success.
I am also interested in pattern and form and have produced a colouring book for adults based on Madhubani patterns. Madhubani is a traditional, indian folk art. I am keen to apply my designs onto ceramics. I run adult work shops in hand raised pottery and stained glass; I love to pass on my love of these crafts. My glass and ceramics work have been accepted in exhibitions, on a very small scale, neverthe less I was delighted!
