Santiago Avila

Hola! I'm Santiago Avila, a motion and graphic designer from Argentina, currently based in London.

I have been working in motion graphics and animation for over 10+ years, both as part of in-house teams and as a freelancer. I have contributed to projects that range from film, broadcast, music live visuals, and digital content. This has given me the opportunity to experiment with 2D and 3D animation for both graphic and character-driven storytelling.

Developing hybrid techniques and approaches is what I enjoy the most when working on a project. I believe blending traditional 2D mindsets with fully-digital tools and executions is a sweet spot to generate unique visual languages. In a social media landscape where trends tend to quickly come and go, taking the time to find a design and animation style that's tailored to a project will make it more memorable and long-lasting.

I have worked for clients such as Nike, MTV, FOX, Spotify, Condé Nast, Netflix and BFI. I have also worked for artists like Kylie Minogue, Disclosure, London Grammar and Anne-Marie.
