Joel Santana

Hello, my name is Joel Santana and I’m a Character Designer and illustrator with over 14 years experience. Throughout my career I’ve created art for packaging, advertising, animation and toys for clients such as Disney, Champs Sports, the literature industry and game studios. I’ve also been super fortunate to be published by MTVnews.com, Huffington Post, Comm Arts and a few others. My body of work includes mostly character based visuals. I really enjoy telling stories through the characters I create as well as adding authenticity through believable color, lighting and texture.

Aside from creating I’ve also mentored junior artists and co workers, taught workshops, give talks to art students at local Universities, teach online, review products for WACOM and participate with the local AIGA group speaking to young creatives.
