I'm a freelance, full-time photographer based in Portugal.
I got an analog camera when I entered college in 2008, and since I've been photographing spaces and people around me. Through personal projects carried out over 10 years, I was able to establish my voice as a photographer and artist. My body of work focuses on manifestations of love, home and belonging, weaving together personal projects, commissioned work and snapshots of my life.
I run a darkroom & studio in town, and write a monthly newsletter dedicated to photography, life and ideas that interest me at the moment. In 2019 I was the recipient of the 2019 Gabriel Grüner Stipendium photojornalism grant, alongside the writer and journalist Viktoria Morasch.
My work has been commissioned and featured by The New York Times, The Guardian, The Wall Street Journal, Monocle, Iittala, Die Zeit, Konfekt Magazine, Wine & Spirits, It’s Nice That, Then There Was Us, Jornal Público, Taz and others.
