Helen Welch

I am the founder and lead instructor at the London School of Furniture Making.

38 years in the industry has seen me work in areas as diverse as construction, furniture making and guitar making. While I have gained formal qualifications in many subjects I am first and foremost a woodworker, lover of tools, tinkerer, life-long learner and avid reader of anything to do with making stuff.

I love passing on what I've learnt and in a teaching career that spans nearly three decades, I've introduced hundreds of students to the joy of woodworking.
