Diane Villadsen (VILL-id-sin) is a color-obsessed commercial photographer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. A linguistics major, she is self-taught and believes prolific creative practice is the best way to develop new skills. Diane has been freelancing full-time since 2018 and has had clients such as Zappos, Allbirds, Mailchimp, Oppo, Twitter, Atelier Cologne, Wisp, Bose, and Native. Her work has been published in Aesthetica Magazine, Content Magazine, Ignant, Frankie Magazine, Fstoppers, and on the landing page for Apple's iOS 14.
Diane's images have been described as surreal, funky, conceptual, and dreamy. She operates within a framework of color and geometry, giving space for new concepts to arise while preserving a thread of consistency throughout her work. She strongly believes anyone can develop a killer portfolio even with a scrappy approach, making do with minimal resources and crew.
