In this course, learn how to create two types of repeated patterns based on a species of beetle called Mecynorrhina Polyphemus. From a detailed observation of the species, elaborate several drawings with graphite and import them into Adobe Photoshop to finish them, export them, and then print or upload online.

Diana Flores Blázquez is a Mexican visual artist and illustrator who mainly works in digital scientific illustration. She graduated from a Master's degree in illustration five years ago and developed her brand project, which is inspired by nature and real species to create elements of decoration and design. Since then, she has been working with private clients, institutions, and companies looking to bring the natural sciences to a wide variety of visual and artistic outlets.
Her clients range from people interested in a particular species to institutions and research centers, as well as stores and design brands. Diana has worked with UNAM and UAM in Mexico, the University of Campeche, and with brands such as Pineda Covalín.

Wonderful course! Diana has simplified photoshop brushes, from creating them to how to use them. Also, she goes into traditional drawing techniques that I had long forgotten. She covers a good mix of traditional and digital. Fascinating course!

Honestly, it was one of my favourite courses! It helps you with a lot of useful material and Photoshop tips and tricks. Also, I was looking for an effective technique for drawing and colouring in Photoshop and I finally found it.
Just a note: this course is for you if you are a very patient person! Drawing and colouring patterns is also a form of meditation, but it takes time and patience to see the end result. But the result is so satisfying! I recommend it.
